What Is the Countdown Timer?

A flexible Countdown Timer with two modes: set a custom duration in hours, minutes and seconds (with one-tap presets from 1 to 60 minutes) for anything from a Pomodoro session to a cooking timer, or count down to a specific date and time for an event or launch. Add an optional label that shows above the digits, and start, pause, resume and reset at will. The display goes full-screen in place, or pops out into a separate window whose numbers automatically scale to fill it — resize the window and the digits grow with it, which is ideal for a second monitor, a room display, or capturing as a window in OBS. When time runs out the display flashes so you notice across the room.

How It Works

Pick a duration (or a preset), or switch to date mode and choose a date and time. Press Start; use Pause/Resume and Reset as needed. Click Pop Out for a resizable, auto-scaling window, or Fullscreen to fill the current screen. The pop-out has its own Start/Pause/Reset buttons and stays in sync with this tab.

When to Use It

Use it for presentations and talks, Pomodoro focus sessions, workouts and cooking, classroom activities, tabletop game turns, or as a visible on-air/break countdown for a stream or event that you capture in OBS.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I pop the timer into its own window?

Yes — click Pop Out. It opens a separate window whose digits auto-scale to the window size, so you can drag it to a second monitor or capture it in OBS. It has its own controls and stays synced with the main tab.

Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?

Yes. It counts against real clock time, so switching tabs or minimizing won't slow it down; when you come back the remaining time is correct.

Can I count down to a specific date?

Switch to 'Count down to date' mode and pick any date and time — useful for launches, holidays or event start times, showing days, hours, minutes and seconds.
