Feels-Like Temperature Calculator
Wind chill, heat index and dew point — what the temperature really feels like.
Wind chill applies at ≤ 50°F with ≥ 3 mph wind; heat index at ≥ 80°F. Dew point: oppressive humidity. NWS formulas.
What Is the Feels-Like Temperature Calculator?
The Feels-Like Temperature Calculator combines the National Weather Service wind chill and heat index formulas with the Magnus dew point equation. Enter the air temperature, wind speed and humidity to see what it actually feels like outside and how muggy the air is.
How It Works
Enter temperature (°F or °C), wind speed and relative humidity. Wind chill applies at or below 50°F with wind of 3+ mph; heat index applies at 80°F and above.
When to Use It
Use it to dress for winter wind, judge summer heat safety, or understand why 85°F can feel brutal at high humidity.
Frequently Asked Questions
